We adorned a classical Victorian house in the Mission Dolores neighborhood of San Francisco with a living wall. In San Francisco garden space is limited or sometimes non-existent, so what do we do? We make the gardens vertical and create wonderful landscapes on the side of the house. For this wall we used the florafelt 'pro-system' and installed an internal irrigation system to keep the garden wet. The system itself is only 5" thick and made up of more that 800 plants. The guttering system collects any excess water and reuses it in the planter beds below.
