Downtown Residence

When clients decide to downgrade from a large residence to a smaller, more manageable home, it can prove challenging for a designer. What to keep and what must go is always a delicate balance. Kristina Weaver worked with the very best and most important possessions this client had, carefully editing where necessary. By providing a design backdrop of simple cabinetry and a subtle color palette, the clients treasured art collection makes a delightful and refreshing statement on a space that could come off with a builder's spec personality. Moving from a large mountain home to a pied et terre in the city, brought about an exciting and welcome change to these clients; an easier, more carefree lifestyle with a closer location to nearby downtown venues. Kristina thoughtfully pulled together a pleasant, relaxing space, which still feels very personalized to her clients. Hopefully they will feel at home, surrounded by their lovely art collection for many years to come.
