Dr. Ford Museum

New public restrooms, automatic fire protection system, an elevator, modern heating and air conditioning and a catering kitchen had to be added without damaging the historic property in order to convert it into a museum. A large Victorian home was even relocated down the street to accommodate a
new parking area. An elevator tower was added at the back of the home mimicking the original architecture using the old window openings. The success of the project is reflective of the coordination of several professionals including landscape architect, interior designer, museum display designer, project architect and the general contractor. The museum is open to the public.
Project Year: Pre-2005
