For these sharing sisters, we opted for two loft beds in an L-shaped configuration to maximize the use of this exceptionally small space. The beds are junior-size, and although smaller than our standard, are engineered to support the weight of both parent and child. In this L-shaped configuration, the stairs are completely enclosed making the stairs very safe to climb. Strategically placed round grip holes make the climb even more safe.

The sisters play and work well together. So we designed spaces that were meant to be shared. Below one loft bed, we've built a daybed with shelves on the side to hold books and even a night light. Our natural birch plywood with white accents becomes the ideal modern backdrop for this colorful room with vintage flower patterns.
