Dundee Kitchen
This was a small galley kitchen in a 1914 home that was transformed into an open concept kitchen. The previous separate dining room and kitchen were combined by removing a wall in between the two rooms. A back "butlers" staircase was removed in the kitchen to create more space. Custom shaker-style cabinets were built. The previous drop ceiling was removed and the ceilings were pushed from 7 feet to 9 1/2 feet. A peninsula was built in between the two rooms with bar height seating. An arabesque tile backsplash was used with shiny chrome plumbing fixtures. The countertops are quartzite and oil rubbed bronze accents are used throughout.
