This beautiful kitchen meets the needs of the wife who is an active cook and the husband who is wheelchair bound. She did not want to sacrifice style or make the kitchen look institutional by making it accessible for her husband. We talked at length about how each of them wanted to use the kitchen. It was very important for the husband to be able to make his meals, reach the faucet and access the refrigerator without having to call his wife in. Independent living means even simple tasks must not be overlooked.
