Grey elm succumbed to Dutch Elm Disease and is nearly extinct, much like Chestnut. We encounter both grey and red elm when we salvage old barns. Recycled grey elm provides a clean look, with interesting contrast in the grain.

Color & Character:
Pale brown to grey with a slight iridescence depending on illumination. Flame-like grain pattern with minimal small, black, and sound knots, nail holes and ferrous staining.
