Existing flammable and insufficient insulation was removed. Attic was thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed, holes in walls were sealed around conduits and wires to prevent air leakage into outlet and switch boxes in the home.

Hot & cold air naturally pass through leaky light fixture housings from attic into the home creating drafts and heat gain. Insulation around openings does not stop air flow and can cause some down-lights to overheat and shutoff or become a fire hazard.

Non flammable insulated foam boxes were built and installed over every fixture and opening, then air sealed with expandable foam.

New R-30 fiberglass insulation was installed and perfectly fit around each foam box.
