The journey began with a transformative kitchen renovation in 2018, where small moves made a big impact. Relocating the refrigerator to a cypress-clad corridor freed up space and created a streamlined flow. New cypress cabinetry and black stone countertops blend seamlessly with the home’s original materials, while open horizontal shelving nods to the cantilevered forms that once defined the space.
Other updates were equally restrained yet impactful. A compact 5' x 6' primary bathroom was refreshed with concrete sinks, embracing Wright’s love of craft and material honesty, while the powder room saw subtle fixture updates. Every intervention was guided by the principle of staying true to the original palette and design language, avoiding extraneous additions.
