Expanded Kitchen

Karl L. Zengel proved a design that allowed our clients to expand their kitchen without losing their cathedral ceiling and skylights. He also changed the orientation of the kitchen to connect with the expansive outdoor area and the adjoining family room.

Small galley kitchen was expanded to accommodate entertaining their large family. The new design provides space for family to sit and chat while the couple cooks and everyone has a view of the activity in the yard.

The new layout flows outside as well as into the interior spaces of the home. The skylights were replaced and an additional one added to provide natural light throughout most of the day.

Note the granite backsplash extended up to the soffit. The range hood stands out and the movement of the granite draws our eyes upward.

Doggie door allows two new puppies free run of the backyard. New Pella door matches beautifully with existing window that were moved and reinstalled.
