An adventurous couple with an incredible modern art collection asked Shaker Interiors to reimagine their Pepper Pike, Ohio, dining room. We started with the wife's favorite hue, purple, and just kept amping up the bling. The set of twelve vintage chrome chairs was sourced from a Miami antiques shop and we had the chairs reupholstered in a hand spray painted velvet. The random nature of the textile gives each chair its own look. Tailored silk drapery panels are edged with a gorgeous ombre tassel in the same amethyst shades. Shimmering silver vinyl faux grasscloth provides a perfect back drop for the jaw dropping art collection. The ceiling is painted a faint lavender which adds a layer of softness to the bold design. An oval dining table with a high gloss walnut top and silver leafed legs was custom made by Century Furniture. It sits atop a plush gray shag rug. An Oly Studio buffet is finished in silver leaf and mirror. Finally, the oval chandelier, dripping with crystal beads, adds even more bling. This is a showstopper dining room and one of our favorite designs.
