Ezra, James and Vivian
Since moving to the neighborhood almost ten years ago, Ezra and James have been lovingly renovating their charming SE Portland house and caring for the property they call home. When their lovely daughter Vivian came into their lives, it was clear a few more changes needed to be made to accommodate Vivian’s needs.
Ezra and James first contacted Green Touch to transform the downstairs basement into Vivian’s play area, TV room and guest quarters for visiting grandparents. Later, it was decided the Kitchen and Dining Nook needed to become a more central feature of their family’s craftsman home.
By opening up the Dining Room to the Kitchen, rearranging the Kitchen cabinetry and transforming an outer covered porch into a Dining Nook off the Kitchen, Ezra and James can easily entertain family and friends while keeping an eye on fast-growing Vivian and their new chocolate Lab.
The work done by General Contractor Mayo Ahrens was a labor of love with many twists and turns along the way. His ability to bring architectural designs to life while matching the richness of the interior details helped successfully blend the new with the old resulting in a project Ezra, James Vivian and the family dog have greatly enjoyed.
