Fantasy Walls

I have had the privilege of creating special bedrooms for children receiving a wish from Make-A-Wish of The Mid-Atlantic. In many cases children are wishing for a fantasy space to play, relax, heal and dream. It has been a great joy to be able to create these special walls for them in their new bedrooms.

This young lady was enchanted by Japan so we brought a bit of it to her. In addition to the three dimensional tree we incorporated many soft textured and soothing pillows.

This Mural was made for a child coping with autism. The goal of the sensory toys was to create joy, purposeful activity and interaction.

This little girl wished for an under the sea bedroom. We incorporated a stuffed Mermaid that was both decorative for the wall as well as something she could hold.

A special area was created for this young lady as she shares her bedroom. Many different flower stencils were used to delineate this personalized space.

This teen's favorite thing is to run her hands over her walls when she is in her bed. We created a tactile board with a tree of many different textures. The limbs of the tree have sensory toys attached by velco that she can grab on to and pull off to explore.

This little boy's Mom selected blues and greens for a serene color palate but wanted a good dose of fun thrown in. A safari theme was chosen and these animals were handpainted by artist Elizabeth Lewis. Please note the Giraffe becomes 3D at his head!

This forest mural and curtains envelop the Planet Endor Star Wars Fantasy room.

This room was turned into planet Endor from Star Wars. A fun tree decal created some contrast to the pale green wall paint. The closet and windows are adorned with forest like drapes. The carpet is multi-textured to resemble a forest floor.
