A dark and tight kitchen get updated with a new floor plan layout and brighter colors. The original kitchen had wasted space for a walk through and the island could interfered with the work area. By designing an island away from the sink area and adding a round "table" to the end of it the homeowner didn't feel the clutter in the work space.
