Fifth Avenue Pied A Terre
Just steps from the Frick Collection, this Upper East Side Pied a Terre was designed to showcase an impeccably curated collection of Asian and Russian art and antiques. Architectural elements were enhanced with rich finishes and textures reminiscent of the objet found throughout – cove ceilings were painted to replicate the interior of a Chinese lacquer snuff box and walls were finished to be reminiscent of aged watercolor paper. Polished and tailored Neo-classic furnishings are paired with earthy textures – sea grass, distressed leather, linen velvet, woven paisley and antique needlepoint. Each piece carries with it a story, and the heart and soul of the collector is evident in every detail of this home.
