The slate mantle legs are fabricated from 1/2" to 3/4" thick slate, carefully executed to create the illusion of solid masonry blocks. The stained cherry mantle top conceals a lined hidden compartment. The fire set of this gas fired unit is a unique fire sculpture rather than the typical log set.

The fire manifold sends jets dancing up through glass beads into the custom designed and fabricated metal fire sculpture, that is every bit as captivating as watching a wood fire, if not more so.

A formal living room is grounded by a substantial fireplace with figured sandstone and marble surround supporting a solid sandstone mantle. Canting the leg faces back at a 4 degree angle adds a subtle dimension to the classically simple surround.
