Forest - Boulder, CO

The Forest Project was necessitated by natural disaster. After the Flood of 2013 in Boulder, CO, our client needed her damaged basement completely remodeled. She envisioned the new space having multiple purposes: guest bedroom, workout gym, and entertainment area.

After meticulous evaluation, we assessed and resolved water damage issues. We then laid out a new functional floor plan and went to work incorporating all the newly designed elements.

The walls were finished with natural American Clay. The clay, which emits negative ions, creates an organic feel when walking through the space. The Italian Grotto-style walk-in steam shower features limestone tiles lining the walls and floor.

We selected lighting that provided a special kind of light in order to minimize the feeling of being in the lower level. The walls were illuminated to expand the feel of the space.

With a guest suite, state-of-the-art cinema, high-end personal work out area, and complete kitchen facilities, our client’s basement evolved into an escape from the ordinary.
