French Flair

I loved working on this beautiful French inspired room. The mixture of fabrics: silks, linens, velvets and wool created a warmth and elegance to the Living Room. The room is regal but still inviting. The monochromatic mixture of taupes, ivory, soft grey blue and black are timeless in their appeal. The black is needed to ground the room and stop it from being to light and airy.
The beautiful Phoebe Sofas face each other in the room creating symmetry. I used a combination of the Alexis Ottomans and the Heron Coffee Table to take up the vast space in front of the fireplace in this very long living room. Photography by Andrea Bursey. Design by Christina Van Eyck.

The use of accessories that sparkle were key to the design. A mixture of the crystal candle sticks with the silver song birds add interest but also catch and radiate the light throughout the room.

The beautiful hand carved Cristal Chair looks stunning in the antique silver finish with the soft blue velvet fabric. This adds an extra seating space in behind the living room that could be incorporated when extra guests are entertained in the room.
