Front Porch

This project is a renovation of the original front porch. The original design had those Fypon fluted columns installed by the developer.

Here is what the Fypon fluted columns looked like, they went up to the soffit returns on the second floor.

Here is a look at the roof platform that protects the new copper from scrapes and footprints and also protects the standing seams from getting stepped on and/or bent.

The beige areas are the new cement board siding (factory primed). The porch soffit is all PVC so it won't rot.

Where the new cement board meets the trim is some unprimed/unpainted wood. This is where the Fypon was removed. The new corner boards make for a more classic look.

Here is a close up of all the paint that previous painters got on the lamps surrounding the front door. We removed the lamps from the house and took them apart. Then we took the pieces with paint on them and soaked them overnight in denatured alcohol and the old paint came right off with no damage...
