The bulk of this home's land was in front of the house, but it was wide open and frequently used as a pass-through, from one neighborhood to the next. We decided to capture this land, enclose it with a deer-proof fence (after much permitting) and turn it into a real garden for the Homeowner, filled to the brim with plants she loved. We built a water feature with a number of waterfalls and ponds, to provide year round interest, sound and attract all sorts of wildlife. The Homeowners spend a great deal of time outside, and say the garden spaces have enriched their lives immeasurably.
