This was a fun kitchen remodel- we brought a dated 80s kitchen into a more traditional and classic feel at present. The clients wanted to keep their existing island countertop that matches their fireplace in the adjoining room. We kept the counter intact and worked to make it flow with the rest of the space. We enlarged the kitchen window to let in more light and have a better view to the garden. The clients also wanted to keep their existing pantry light as it provides substantial light and it looks like a spaceship. We think it's kind of cool. We chose island pendants whose shape mimicked the arched windows behind them in the living room. We think this was a light and bright update to an 80s kitchen!
