This fabulous mid-century project began as a run down fuddy-duddy that needed a vision and pretty much everything that went along with the transformation! We opened the kitchen up more so that it the space was more expansive and used the floor space better. The island is a wonderful focal point, great style with the waterfall side but great functionality with all the counter space and easy access to the outside.
To add beauty and drama, I put a window at the end of the living wall to capture the spectacular mountain views directly beyond. (I also did the same in the master bedroom, too). Concrete floors throughout work perfectly and tie the house together.
