Trees are great to have in your backyard to provide shade from those hot summer days, but can pose a real problem when trying to construct an expansive outdoor space. Kathy McPhail, homeowner and Senior Designer at Page, accepted the challenge of creating an outdoor oasis in her own backyard. With the help of DX2 Construction, she built a hardwood deck right in the middle of her miniature forest, complete with a dining area and hot tub. Built with Dasso XTR, a hardwood decking product made of fused bamboo, the deck cascades down to a stone patio with fire pit. Less expensive than some tropical hardwoods, Dasso XTR is 100% sustainable and will last for decades.
