With a reputation of rescuing the most artistic architectural projects from budget overruns, Clark was asked to continue work on this island waterfront home. The site and design were stunning, but getting there was another story. The driveway was so steep that materials had to be walked or trucked there via a small 4-wheel drive vehicle. CCLLC was able to work with the architect and owner to provide value engineering options to allow for the completion of this project. Soaring 30-foot-tall interior concrete walls, viroc exterior panels, and abundant steel are softened by the prolific use of clear cedar and ipe decking. The dramatic front entry is punctuated with an ipe bridge and steel railings. This home is a testament to excellent architectural design and thoughtful construction practices.
