Grand Entrance

Our client wanted to have a real presence in the neighbourhood. The house that stood out above all the rest, grand in style and in appearance. The entrance was to be welcoming, yet functional with easy access to the house. Carrying items in and out of the car to the house was a priority, so access from the car was made easy with the turnabout at the front entrance. Not only was access to the house made easier, so was entering and exiting the driveway.

Using a combination of products we were able to create an impressive driveway accented with Series 3000 and Copthorne. The stark contract to the Umbriano brings attention to the house while leading the eye to the spectacular front entrance. The pillars and retaining wall are formal. Notice the retaining wall mimics the roof outline of the landing. The curves lend a softness to the hardscape and the bold lines of the house.

The homeowner personalized the landscape with planting on her own. She managed to keep the balance without overcrowding or having it over-grown. With fairly low maintenance planting the greenery adds a beautiful contrast to the stonework creating a clean elegant landscape.
