Modern was the style for the kitchen. But because we are Kosher (dietary rules of Judaism) we needed to mix ancient rules with sleek, modern design. Nicole Sirek did it beautifully. Flat panel white cabinets with glass inserts, a giant Cambria island with seating for 6 and an accent gray color on the island Crystal cabinets were perfect choices. We planned extra cabinets to separate meat and dairy dishes, silverware and pots and 2 dishwashers from Jenn-Air were built into the island. The flooring was Elm in a dark stain from WD flooring. The backsplash and the lighting are the kitchen jewelry. The tile looks like glitter and is on the entire back wall. We even wrapped the windows with it and the island lighting provides the only curves in the kitchen.
A hidden pantry with open shelving offers the ability to maintain the 'no-clutter' look in the kitchen.

We love it.
