In 2013, CASA|WASY designed the Solarium Lounge at the Greystone Mansion & Gardens: The Doheny Estate in Beverly Hills, CA. The room was a blank canvas with original stone walls and large arched windows. We transformed this space into a vibrant and dramatic room to entertain guests. Since we could not penetrate the stone walls, we hung the drapery from the ceiling, which only added to the height of the ceilings. Mixing classic traditional elements like the Chesterfield sofa and "Chinois Palais" fabric art panel with eclectic antiques from around the world help the room feel rich. Bold modern artwork and light fixture add an unexpected element. A custom hand painted ceiling medallion draws the eye up.
