Large sized kitchen remodel designed to showcase original elements from the house. We exposed an existing wall from the original house to highlight the old brick, then wrapped the exposed columns in reclaimed wood. Reclaimed wood was used on the countertops and in the knee well, and antique wood is the showpiece of the island’s peninsula top. The custom cabinets are built from reclaimed barn siding and finished with a “white” rubbed thru finish. Two customer-supplied cabinets were incorporated into the design, one to be used as a hanging wall cabinet and one as a unique appliance garage. The wood paneled ceiling is painted with a high gloss white paint, and the 1970’s refurbished range and hood are one of the centerpieces of this fun project.
