The challenge was blending the new structure with the historic home so that it would look like it always existed. To accomplish this, we replicated the features of the original front porch ceiling and floor in the same materials and colors.
The wall screens are frameless, and the screen door matches the existing back screen door. We extended the screen room roof to create an awning over the back door, added complimentary lighting and a ceiling fan. We also installed a drink ledge for parties and decorative wood lattice around the base of the room that is both decorative and meets the historical criteria.
