Haida Beaver access doors design/ build

I adapted various traditional Haida and Ni'Ishga motifs and created the beaver doors to access the attic in my garage for storage. The Jamb was harder to make than the actual doors! with a true weather seal behind. The beaver is the sign of the carpenter, my kindred spirit (ok, its not exactly the soaring Eagle or the clever Raven but when he puts down his lunchkit good things happen). I regret not using a higher grade of Red Cedar, this was stuff I had lying around, there are some heartwood/ sapwood- color issues going on there. Water under the bridge though. There are actually 2 sets of these doors. As we live in a duplex with good friends of ours as neighbors, I made them a set too. Its actuall the nicer of the 2. Guess I should post a shot of that one. Thanks for looking.
