Designed and built for our house in 2008. This photo is taken in 2013. Original Purple Heartwood laser cut Kanji (Happiness) failed. So I replaced it with a stainless steel one (bring it, Mother Nature!). The construction is all mortise and tenon. There are no fasteners. Opening was too big for one gate and too small for two gates of equal size thus gates are eccentric. Clear, Kilned, Western Red Cedar stained with 3 coats of sikkens log and siding #77. Ahh!
