HGTV Kitchen

My design of the kitchen for the HGTV show " America's Most Desperate Kitchens"
I was hired by HGTV to renovate a kitchen that was deemed "the most desperate." The project encompassed gutting the walls, ceiling, floors, cabinetry, closets etc in both the kitchen and breakfast area and removing a window in order to better lay out the space. The owner was a chef for a "farm to table" restaurant dreamed of having a Chef's Kitchen. In addition to incorporating reclaimed/natural materials to provide the "farm to table" aesthetic, the kitchen was designed to provide ultimate functionality, flexibility and easy maintenance. Just as an example: One element of functionality was how the cabinets were designed to provide a place for everything needed at his fingertips. The island was designed with wheels for ultimate flexibility so the chef could move the island around for cooking demonstrations in his home. Materials chosen were for providing a beautiful aesthetic as they naturally age as well as surfaces that could withstand wear and tear.
