Our 2019 Season kicks off with this design commissioned by a real estate team to support a new construction sale. To highlight the possibilities of this tight fit urban backyard near White Rock Lake, the team at Selah developed a scene that compliments this amazing home build.

Leveraging a free form pool style to manage the space, we accented all with porcelain pave stone and coping throughout. This low contrast porcelain coloring matches the home builds monochrome design.

The free form pool allowed the yard to fit a raised veranda that is positioned for maximum sunlight and still had room for an elegant raised spa with a tiered descent, also trimmed in matching porcelain tile.

In the end, this challenging yardscape is proven by design to fit within its tight access. The challenge of the rear facing and gated driveway was met and still left us room to design in topiary. The modern shape of the home was matched using raised walls extended with box wood hedges to deliver a squared off feel and mitigate the free form pool shape into the homes modern lines.
