This new 2200 sq ft house is located in an older neighborhood adjacent to downtown. It is the second project completed for this young couple, the first being a renovation to an older two storey home five years previous. After starting a family, they contacted us to build a new home in the same neighborhood. The property has no rear lane and needed to incorporate a double attached front drive garage. The stair is located at the front of the house and the kitchen is situated at the end of the garage in order to maximize the open space adjacent to the rear garden. A sliding glass panel wall can be used to subdivide the main living space into formal and informal areas. In the master bedroom, the custom headboard for the bed incorporates the garden window and provides built-in side tables and book storage.
