This interior could have gone really wrong. Someone might have updated this mid-century home by removing the wood paneling and busting out the fireplace. Instead, we leaned into these features. This home has a clean California aesthetic but it still feels warm and familiar. Sure, we could have dry-walled everything and made the fireplace travertine and it would have been beautiful, but it wouldn’t feel as chic or have any character.
