Historic Farmhouse Renovation

A young family inherits a historic farmhouse, once visited by General George Washington. They desire a brighter open concept, a modern kitchen, expanded storage, an updated laundry and mudroom. They expand the main bedroom suite as well. Our architects propose an addition with large windows and custom storage solutions. Original stone and millwork is preserved in the redesigned kitchen, butler’s pantry and laundry room. An enlarged opening joins the formal living room with adjacent office. A screened balcony completes the main bedroom suite. Floors throughout are updated or matched and blended with new pine or black walnut.
