The house was a complete interior renovation and addition of a second floor to a historic home in Palo Alto. We rebuilt the ground floor in the original style, preserving the architectural history of the plaster which had shells mixed into the final coat. All of the downstairs windows are historic recreations of the original windows and the upstairs windows were purposely designed differently to respect the original house. The modern open floor plan still allows for distinct and intimate settings. The luxurious master retreat packs a lot of amenities into a very compact plan.
