My favorite projects are the ones that turn out dramatically different than what is existing in the beginning! This is definitely one of those before and afters worthy of that honor! A beautiful historic home in Wakefield, Massachusetts filled with antiques, memories, great meals and the best homemade granola and nut butter this side of Boston! With this professional couple, we lifted the ceiling and turned the original dark kitchen into a space filled with light, lots of cabinets, storage, counter space, island and a baking area. They say it is now the room they spend most of their time in!

The new sink area is very functional with a large white porcelain Shaws farmhouse sink, Perin & Rowe bridge faucet, Bosch dishwasher (previous kitchen didn't have a dishwasher) and a 2-bin pull-out trash.

We refinished the brick wall after removing the ceiling and created a vaulted ceiling with a skylight. It's a beautiful effect with thick oak floating shelves over the clients baking area.

Such a dramatic difference with the ceiling lifted and the whole brick wall exposed. We put in a new oak floor and lightened the walls and trim. Now truly a functional space!
