Home Makeover Reveal: Live Oak Estates
For this project, our Acadian House design team was tasked with renovating all 2,600 square-feet of the dated residence. The team focused their design on creating a comfortable and classic home for a family of four to grow in.
The kitchen renovation offered a total transformation from small kitchen design to a custom kitchen space. The 26-year-old house was in need of a kitchen remodel, says homeowner and designer, Monica Broggi. The Acadian House team was able to maximize storage in the kitchen and focus on functional changes to bring this traditional Baton Rouge home up to today’s standards.
The outside of this Live Oak Estates home appears to be an average South Louisiana design- a transitional twist on French Country, but the Acadian House team wanted to make the interior of this home memorable. The changes in the kitchen included transitions from wallpaper and brass to shades of gray with glamorous finishes like polished nickel, brushed nickel and champagne. The design highlights the wide windows of the home and the natural light to make the space feel large and inviting. While the majority of the kitchen remodel introduced new materials to the space, the Acadian House team was able to preserve the brick floors to contribute to the traditional French Country style of the home.
