A bedroom in an existing Louisiana cottage was converted into a couple's home office. Original architectural elements and wood flooring remained.
The light filled and airy room provides space for both owners to work on computers, and a separate drafting table for creating art. The simple double sided desk was a perfect configuration, giving ample space for two people and providing a view of the outside.
The space has a mixture of finishes, texture, and furnishings to create a functional and inspiring place to work. The existing bi-fold closet doors were covered in cork and fabric to transform them into an inspiration board. Other storage includes a card catalog to house supplies and two file cabinets supporting the desk tops.
