Whole house remodel, homeowner wanted a bathroom remodel. But come to find out, the previous owners. Did not do there remodels per code. So there were no structural walls holding up the main and the attic and the roof load. So we had to start in the basement and work our way up.

The homeowner had purchased this home, site unseen. They had reached out to me. To do a bathroom and a bedroom in the attic. They had a lollipop in the basement. turning it a half inch, to raise the floor. However, the concrete in the basement, was about 2 inches thick, causing the concrete to...

Just showing the demo. there are so many stages in figuring out, what is needed to be done. The floor was a glue on product. I had it tested for asbestos. Lucky enough, the glue was not. But, its always better to be safe.

Back in the day, they would pour concrete on the floor. To tile on. They took there 2x6 joist. Shaved them as a point. Which was not the best idea. Points cause concrete to crack. So at this point, we were removing the concrete.

We had to do a wall, that went all the way to the roof load. This is one of the things that the previous contractors should of let the homeowners know about.

The room above to the left in this picture is where the floor we had to remove the concrete. This wall is a structural wall.

Since we had to open all the walls and the floor. Homeowner decided to update electrical.

This is the wall, that we had the picture of the finger. We had to install a Lvl, to help hold up the wall above.

Sometimes, its best to use lath and plaster. We could of drywall. But in order to keep cost down. We did patch and repair.

they had kept there furnace, so we had a mini split installed. to help regulate the heat and cold.
