Origanally (white oak veneer), the graining was opend, then given a hand glazed finish. The original raw oak was too light, it had no richness and/or complimentary contrast to the wood flooring throughtuot this unit. This 3500 sq feet unit was milled from white oak laminated MDF. These cabinets are found thoroughout the building and is only one of 30 units i’ve completed so far for hudson yard development .. client also requested no lusture flat finish for a natral contempoaty look.
