The architects' own home: a very private, high & windy city lot that feels much like a San Juan Island hideaway. Building on that feeling, their remodel provides plentiful natural light, nooks with water views, and natural landscaping…all to dispel Northwest gloom! Their “urban cabin” motif is first revealed by peeled-log columns flanking a fir entry door. Moderate-cost materials are used in creative ways in this ongoing design experiment!
