Hyde Park Avenue D Residence

This project features a whole house renovation and two story addition to an existing historic bungalow in the central Austin Hyde Park Historic neighborhood. The home design boasted a large two story addition in the back situated in such a way that it is not visible from the street, maintaining the urban bungalow feel of the original house. The more traditional exterior is balanced by a contemporary interior with modern materials and modern design detailing. The home was sustainably designed and received an Austin Energy Green Building 5 star Certification and also won the Best of Tour award on the NARI homes tour in 2013.
