The color of this barberry is enhanced by the setting sun and complimented by the aster behind it.

The maidenhair grass and boxwoods in the background serve as a neutral backdrop which really brings out the color of the barberries.

Stones are great fun to play on and add interest to the landscape. Be sure to bury them partway so they appear more natural. Believe it or not, the short green plants are actually lettuce!
