Did I mention that we do this in 1 day?
We use plastic, blackboard and tarp zipper doors to protect. After the furniture is moved and any built-ins and floors are covered with blackboard, we plastic everything up and seal off the room. Very important steps here because like you can probably anticipate… it gets very dirty, mortar splatters, rock chips fall and it just gets dirty.
What about the outdoors area? We will need a space to work in your driveway/ yard to stage all of the materials and mortar mixing. But after we’re gone you’ll barely remember we were there.
With our process in place we come fully prepared with the tools and experience to handle the job and leave your home just as we found it, plus the beautiful new amazing fireplace that we leave behind. You will love it!
Now to the fun part, picking out your stone and fireplace accessories
First we need to get a feel for your home and the room where the fireplace is located so we conduct most of our first meetings at your home. We can show you our portfolio of previous jobs, talk about available stone choices and see if we can get together a vision for your new fireplace. Once we’ve gotten all of the figures together we can send over a quote for approval, once approved we can schedule your install.
Getting Ready for the Team
If you decide we’re the partner for your new fireplace then we can meet at the stone yard and look through selections for the stone, mantle and hearth. If everything is good to move forward we will schedule the stone delivery and work with you to schedule the install. We have a dedicated team of masons that we use on fireplace installs, that means they are very good, very efficient and in most cases it means that they will be finished with most fireplaces in a day. But, if your fireplace is enormous or there are mitigating factors, we have been know to take a day or two more. Quality is the first priority but you don’t want stonemasons in your living room for more days than absolutely necessary.
