After exploring Ireland and their roots for their 20th wedding anniversary, the homeowners were inspired to bring the old world charm of an Irish pub into their home. Their basement became the room of choice, and work began on custom masonry and stonework on the walls and around the pillars. A curtom-built bar was constructed, and game tables were added for entertaining. The ceiling was the last step, and remained unfinished for 2 years. The couple eventually came across Modern Urban Woods, and found a unique way to give the pub an authentic look by using reclaimed barn flooring on the ceiling. This made it look like the subfloor to the next level, and the owners decided to add circular sawn beams for a further accent and structural look.
