The door and lights were peeling and faded from exposure to sun and salt air and had never been maintained. Peeling stain was removed and Zar stain was brushed on as a base coat on bare areas. The second coat was brushed on, blotted off with a rag and brushed over to create grain again. All surfaces were lightly sanded and a coat of stain was ragged on to even out the appearance. Two coats of Zar satin polyurethane was applied as a topcoat
