Spread Joy is a great motto for both this project and our client, Jacek Chocolate Boutique in Sherwood Park. What started out as tired, old offices came a long way to what you see today. Keith Hlewka of Kaben Design came in from Calgary and was tasked with making a space that was a perfect reflection of and display space for Jacek Chocolate. Then came the fun part, building it! Attention to detail is key: polished concrete floors, white concrete countertops, clear-stained cedar ceilings, American clay and limestone walls, an overhead door to separate spaces, cedar screens over the windows & stairwell – the list goes on! It took about 11 weeks of hard work to transform this space, but we think it was worth it!
