Our very lovely client had a vision for a Japanese inspired backyard. Her wish list included a koi pond, a shaded patio and espalier apple trees and a garden shed. The existing yard was quite literally a blank slate. We set about to transform this tiny, unremarkable yard into a unique sanctuary offering shade, privacy, seasonal interest and most of all a sense of place.
